With consultant assistance, PKD International conducted strategic planning work including analysis of the organization's actual situation using RACI methodology, identification of benefits of PKDI membership, and drafting of vision statement, mission statement, organizational values, and governance principles.
What PKD International is uniquely placed to do
- Strengthen and help develop PKD patient organisations by providing a platform for knowledge exchange, brainstorming on addressing common problems, sharing resources, and co-developing common resources
- Coordinate actions to address common problems including promoting PKD research, supporting PKD research, generating patient evidence, and raising awareness about PKD burdens (e.g., genetic testing)
- Provide a united and representative patient voice in decisions impacting people with PKD, such as drug development, drug regulation, and health policy making
